Inspired by the Dallas Chocolate Festival? Take your love of chocolate to the next level with a pair of hands-on chocolate workshops.  These classes will be taught by chocolate industry professionals in a commercial kitchen.  We’ll have a lot of fun, but we expect you to actually learn some chocolate skills too. All levels of skills are welcome.

Workshops take place Sunday, September 13 at Perfect Temper Kitchen in Plano.

Bean-to-Bar Workshop:
10:00 AM – Noon
Skill Level:  Beginner and Up

Working with expert chocolate makers Ben Rasmussen of Potomac Chocolate and Troy Easton of Allen’s own Sublime Chocolate, students will get hands on instruction in turning cocoa beans into delicious chocolate.  Students will get to take home their completed chocolate bars.   Cost $75.00

“Don’t lose your temper with chocolate” (Truffle Workshop):
1:00PM – 3:00PM
Skill Level:  Beginner and Up

Students will be led by Kevin Wenzel of Wiseman House Chocolates, and will practice no-fail techniques for preparing chocolate for dipping and molding.  As a bonus, students will learn the art of making the ganache filling used in truffles.  Students will take home the truffles they create themselves in the class.  Cost $75

All Day Affair:
10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
